Important information

Need help choosing or have questions about beach hut hire – please check out our FAQ’s HERE.

Otherwise you’ll find specific information relating to Hope below:

Where can I find Hope?

Hope is situated perfectly around the half way mark along the long promenade from Walton Pier.  Approx a 5-8 min walk from the pier depending on any small legs you may have with you!

Located on the front row – she has super easy access to the beach and as she has 6 steps in front of her, while this limits the area immediately outside of her front doors, it provides a fantastic view directly onto the beach and stunning interior to relax within.

Suitable For?

In light of current covid restriction – a maximum of 8 people, in and out of the hut, including babies and children.

Due to the steps directly in front of the hut, Isla is perfect for couples, individuals seeking time out, or families with older children. If you don’t mind keeping a closer eye on young children or situating yourself at the bottom of the steps (feel free to move chairs and furniture onto the promenade if you prefer) then you have a great view down onto the beach.

Great for those who like to be a bit further removed from the busy pier and busier sections of the beach. You can guarantee that you’ll have an uninterrupted sandcastle building!

The winter months can offer great ‘sea spray’ viewings with the sea often spraying onto the lower steps. Why not huddle up behind Hope’s glass doors, pop the kettle and heater on and watch!

Can I bring my dog?

Hope is named after the newest arrival to our furry furiend family – one very young Sprocker puppy born on 30th January 2021!

As with all of of our beach huts, dogs are more than welcome though, during peak seasons, a prior agreement is required for more than one average size dog. We do find we accommodate this subject to the overall party sizes – don’t be scared to ask before booking. I have two spaniels myself!

Do just consider their safety during the day – particularly during summer.  We have dog bowls in each hut, so ensure they are regularly topped up and if very active, try to encourage them to seek shade and snooze!

The beach directly in front of Hope is dog-friendly all year round. You have a good few miles of beach all year to explore and let them off the lead.

As with all outdoor locations – do please remember to clean up (and if you forget your ‘poo-bags’ you’ll find a few spares in the beach hut.

Where are the nearest facilities to Hope?

A water tap is just one beach hut away – making it all that bit easier to fill up the kettle.

There are also toilets approx 50 metres away (situated behind the next block of beach huts) but other toilets are also available with baby changing facilities opposite the pier too.

Where can I Park?

You may find you are able to park on the residential streets nearby and in the station car park but be prepared to arrive early to get a space during the peak weekends and summer (particularly given the anticipated increase in visits during 2021.

There is also a large public car park near the station and pier (Church Road, CO14 8DE) which is £6 for the full day.

Please do be courteous and note the restrictions that may be in place if parking on a residential street.

What will I find in Hope? Do I need to bring anything?

In normal circumstances – we’d normally provide everything you need for a day at the beach. However, in these bananas times, we continue to be very careful around our Covid Protocols to ensure everything is thoroughly cleaned per arrival.

Gas stove, crockery, cutlery and tea, coffee and sugar are all included for your use but if you feel uncomfortable using our crockery, then do pack your own.

Don’t forget the all-important – MILK, BIN BAGS (please take all rubbish home or deposit in bins on the promenade) and TEA TOWELS for washing up. Plus any beach bucket and spades and toys you’d like to

There are lots of shops on the way into Walton if you forget, and you’ll find a Tesco Express in the centre of Walton itself along with a Marks and Spencer and Lidl nearby too.

You’ll also find the seafront cafe’s and Pier open during peak times. Personally, we love the cafe opposite the Pier (who also sell fab doggy ice cream) and Yates Fish and Chips which is a short 10-minute stroll away.

What else do I need to know?

Along with our T&Cs, you’ll find all the generic beach hut hire questions over in our FAQs section HERE

What happens next?

You’ll receive a confirmation email post-payment to confirm your booing but one week pre your booking, you’ll receive another email from us with a code to access the beach hut (key safe has codes regularly changed for security and contains keys to the hut).
We do not currently operate a meet and greet service to give you flexibility re your arrival time but you’ll find someone close by who may pop by to check that everything is how you expect.
