Where can I find Rosie Posie?
Rosie Posie (no.13A), is located on the front row and is a stunning ombre colour following her makeover during Interior Design Masters 2021 on BBC2.
Just a 1 min short walk from the Pier! With just one steps directly down to the promenade from the hut (an additional step also into the beach hut), you can spread out around the promenade and it makes her our most accessible beach hut for anyone with mobility issues. But you can still see directly down onto the beach for those who may prefer to take a dip!
In light of current covid restriction – a maximum of 8 people, in and out of the hut, including babies and children.
Rosie Posie is perfect for couples, individuals seeking time out, or families with children. With just one large step to the promenade from the area outside of the beach hut, along with Sunnysands, she is one of our most accessible beach huts for anyone who may have some mobility issues.
Can I bring my dog?
As with all of of our beach huts, dogs are more than welcome though, during peak seasons, a prior agreement is required for more than one average size dog. We do find we accommodate this subject to the overall party sizes – don’t be scared to ask before booking. I have two spaniels myself!
Do just consider their safety during the day – particularly during summer. We have dog bowls in each hut, so ensure they are regularly topped up and if they are very active, try to encourage them to seek shade and snooze!
The beach directly in front of Rosie Posie is dog-friendly all year round. You have a good few miles of beach all year to explore and let them off the lead.
As with all outdoor locations – do please remember to clean up after them! Walton has blue flag status and we’d love to keep it that way for us to all enjoy ;0)
Where are the nearest facilities to Rosie Posie?
Located close the pier, Rosie Posie closest toilets are directly opposite the Pier. Baby changing is also available in the same building. Around a 1-2 minute walk form the beach hut.
The closest tap can be found just a few steps away. Turn right out of the beach hut and you’ll find a little path up towards the road behind the beach huts (where the candy striped disabled access toilet is). Note that the tap is on the second row.
You’ll find a second tap just to the right-hand side of Mays’ cafe which is on the front row (turn right out of the beach hut and approx 20 beach huts).
Where can I Park?
You may find you are able to park on the residential streets nearby and in the station car park but be prepared to arrive early to get a space during the peak weekends and summer (particularly given the anticipated increase in visits during 2021).
Please do be courteous and note the restrictions that may be in place if parking on a residential street.
There is also a large public car park near the station and pier (Church Road, CO14 8DE) which is £6 for the full day.
If you do park here then take an of the slopes down between the beach huts onto the promenade rather than walking round to the Pier. Fina beach hut with the number on – then the lower numbers are towards the Pier. Rosie Posie is 13A 😉
What will I find in Rosie Posie? Do I need to bring anything?
In normal circumstances – we’d normally provide everything you need for a day at the beach. However, in these bananas times, we continue to be very careful around our Covid Protocols to ensure everything is thoroughly cleaned per arrival.
Gas stove, crockery, cutlery and tea, coffee and sugar are all included for your use but if you feel uncomfortable using our crockery, then do pack your own.
Don’t forget the all-important – MILK, BIN BAGS (please take all rubbish home or deposit in bins on the promenade) and TEA TOWELS for washing up. Plus any beach bucket and spades and toys you’d like to
There are lots of shops on the way into Walton if you forget, and you’ll find a Tesco Express in the centre of Walton itself along with a Marks and Spencer and Lidl nearby too.
You’ll also find the seafront cafe’s and Pier open during peak times. Personally, we love the cafe opposite the Pier (who also sell fab doggy ice cream) and Yates Fish and Chips which is a short 10-minute stroll away.
What else do I need to know?
Along with our T&Cs, you’ll find all the generic beach hut hire questions over in our FAQs section HERE.
What happens next?
You’ll receive a confirmation email post-payment to confirm your booing but one week pre your booking, you’ll receive another email from us with a code to access the beach hut (key safe has codes regularly changed for security and contains keys to the hut).
We do not currently operate a meet and greet service to give you flexibility re your arrival time but you’ll find someone close by who may pop by to check that everything is how you expect.
