Where can I find Seas The Moment?
Seas The Moment is situated perfectly around the half way mark along the long promenade from Walton Pier. Approx a 5-8 min walk from the pier depending on any small legs you may have with you! (146 huts from the pier to be exact!)
Located on the fourth row – she’s the perfect haven away from the crowds but just a few steps away from the sandy beach and all the facilities that Walton has to offer.
Pop the kettle on, grab a cuppa and relax on your own private decking.
Due to Seas The Moment’s location – you will need to either access via the steps from the promenade or directly behind and thus may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
However, this is also her biggest selling point – her location! She really is the prefect sanctuary and while the front row can be a little cooler when the tide is in, her private decking is the perfect suntrap – whoop.
Great for those who like to be a bit further removed from the busy pier and busier sections of the beach, so perfect for those concerned about crowds as we navigate our new Covid-19 world.
In light of current covid restrictions – a maximum of 6 people, in and out of the hut, including babies and children. Note if your household has more than 6 please do just get in contact and we can advise re suitability.
Can I bring my dog?
As with all of of our beach huts, dogs are more than welcome though, during peak seasons, a prior agreement is required for more than one average size dog. We do find we accommodate this subject to the overall party sizes – don’t be scared to ask before booking. I have two spaniels myself!
Do just consider their safety during the day – particularly during summer. We have dog bowls in each hut, so ensure they are regularly topped up and if very active, try to encourage them to seek shade and snooze!
The beach directly in front of Seas the Moment is dog-friendly all year round. You have a good few miles of beach all year to explore and let them off the lead.
As with all outdoor locations – do please remember to clean up.
Where are the nearest facilities to Seas The Moment?
A water tap is just a few beach huts away– making it all that bit easier to fill up the kettle.
There is also no need to walk to the toilets opposite the Pier when needed – you’ll find toilet facilities at the mid point on the promenade (situated just behind the front row) so just a 2 min walk away.
Baby changing facilities are available opposite the Pier.
Where can I Park?
You may find you are able to park on the residential streets nearby and in the station car park but be prepared to arrive early to get a space during the peak weekends and summer (particularly given the anticipated increase in visits during 2021.
There is also a large public car park near the station and pier (Church Road, CO14 8DE) which is £6 for the full day.
Please do be courteous and note the restrictions that may be in place if parking on a residential street.
What will I find in Seas The Moment? Do I need to bring anything?
In normal circumstances – we’d normally provide everything you need for a day at the beach. However, in these bananas times, we continue to be very careful around our Covid Protocols to ensure everything is thoroughly cleaned per arrival.
Gas stove, crockery, cutlery and tea, coffee and sugar are all included for your use but if you feel uncomfortable using our crockery, then do pack your own.
Don’t forget the all-important – MILK, BIN BAGS (please take all rubbish home or deposit in bins on the promenade) and TEA TOWELS for washing up. Plus any beach bucket and spades and toys you’d like to
There are lots of shops on the way into Walton if you forget, and you’ll find a Tesco Express in the centre of Walton itself along with a Marks and Spencer and Lidl nearby too.
You’ll also find the seafront cafe’s and Pier open during peak times. Personally, we love the café opposite the Pier (who also sell fab doggy ice cream) and Yates Fish and Chips which is a short 10-minute stroll away.
Seating – Seas The Moment has 6 folding chairs (incl. 4 blue camping chairs and 2 hessian chairs as per photo in gallery) along with her internal bench. We know how particular we can all be re our seating for a full day, so we have no issue if you’d like to bring your own to ensure you are comfortable.
What else do I need to know?
Along with our T&Cs, you’ll find all the generic beach hut hire questions over in our FAQs section HERE.
