A week into the Essex school holiday and it has been lovely to see so many pictures across facebook and Instagram of families enjoying the great range of things to do in Essex. The question is – have we all survived so far?
We’re steaming ahead into August and with school uniforms and back to school signs starting to appear in the shops, it is a reminder that these next few weeks are going to go all that bit too quick! If you’ve not yet had some midweek time off with the family, then I’m here to help. Here is another great list of options for your family day out in Essex this weekend.

Harwich Sea Festival and Lifeboat Day
There will be a mixture of art, craft, display and information stalls plus the usual, bat the rat, crazy golf and other traditional pursuits. Whilst on the sea side of things there will be off-shore RNLI and boat displays plus possibly a helicopter rescue display – subject to operational requirements.
