Burnham on Crouch Art Trail – Various, Burnham on Crouch.
For eight days local artists take over Burnham to create an art trail rich in variety and with a range of fun creative events.

Witness graceful hawks, elegant owls and glorious falcons in flight as our expert falconers demonstrate the art of training, exercising and hunting on horse back.

Elizabethan Kentwell – Kentwell Hall, Long Melford.
More than 200 Tudors (up to 400 at weekends) at any one time creating the dress, speech, food, drink, music, dance, crafts, activities, pleasures and way of life of the chosen year.
Visitors feel they have been transported back to a whole 16th C. community in which everyone is dependant upon each other. This is how life actually was not just a series of demonstrations.

Summer Screen: Wimbledon – Colchester Castle Park.
The popular Summer Screen returns to Colchester Castle Park for the third year running.
Why not bring along a picnic, relax and get into the Wimbledon spirit as the tennis tournament will be streamed for free from 3 July to 16 July 2017.

The Tendring Show – Lawford House Park, Near Manningtree
Essex County’s Premier Agricultural Event. Attracting crowds in the region of 20,000 each year.
The Show combines top class entertainment; animals, from Guinea Pigs, Rabbits and Poultry, to Goats, Sheep, Cattle and Horses, together with over 250 trade stands and exhibits, including a beautiful Art & Lifestyle Marquee, and huge Food Pavilion championing local produce, all set in a beautiful parkland setting.

A not for profit, volunteer run, community engagement organisation, showcasing the work of local contemporary artists & designers
The annual Leigh Art Trail has become an important part of the town’s cultural calendar. Now in its 20th year, the 2017 event will showcase the talents of over 70 selected artists and designer-makers in around 55 venues.

The Moscow State Circus (GOSTINITSA) – Abbey Fields, Circular Rd East, Colchester
One of the world’s most glorious and illustrious circuses will be paying a visit to the UK. The Moscow State Circus opens with its new production GOSTINITSA – Hotel of Curiosities this year with dates across the country.
GOSTINITSA combines the best of the Circus art forms, adds the glitz and glamour of the art deco period and the sparkle of 1930s Hollywood to create a real landmark production for The Moscow State Circus.

Little Red Riding Hood (Under 5s Concert) –
Venture into the story of Little Red Riding Hood in this interactive music-making concert for the under-fives. You and your little ones will explore the wonderful sounds and rhythms woven into the story, inventing and discovering the characters through music. Dance and sing your way through the concert as the instruments bring the tale to life!
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July – 10 am to 7 pm
Spirit of the Corn Festival – Museum of Power, Hatfield Road, Langford, Maldon.
Bringing in the folk side of Summer, we will have country crafts, folk music in the acoustic area and country craft demonstrations.
There will be workshops and talks on a variety of subjects throughout the weekend.
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July –
London Transport Weekend – Epping Ongar Railway, Ongar.
The Railway has a long association with the Underground and London Transport stemming from its time as a part of the Central Line. We celebrate this in 2017 with a new event when we join with the London Transport Museum with two days of heritage train rides, family activities and lots of fun.
Visiting steam locomotive “Metropolitan number 1” features alongside an LT liveried class 20 locomotive.

Wings & Wheels Car, Bike and Military Show – Damyns Hall Aerodrome, Upminster
This event is organized by Havering Mind, the local mental health charity in Havering. All monies raised will go towards providing support and services to local people who may be experiencing problems with their mental wellbeing.
A wide range of cars and vehicles, funfair, beer tent, music, food, trial flights and helicopter rides and much more.

We have an exciting weekend of displays by the East Anglian Kite Flyers. The displays will run from 10:00 am until 4:00pm on both days. There is no need to book for the displays.
There is also an opportunity to take part in a kite workshop so you can decorate your own kite and take to the Naze to fly it.
The workshops will run from 12:00 to 4:00pm on both days and booking is essential for the workshop.

Harwich Sea Shanty Festival Fundraiser Barn Dance – Park Pavillion, Dovercourt.
A barn dance, suitable for all the family.
