Loopy Lou – Front Row
Spring/Summer – £50 (May to September); Autumn/Winter – £35 (October to April)
Where can I find Loopy Lou?
Newly renovated in April 2019, Loopy Lou is a front row beach hut based in Eastcliff, Walton on the Naze.
Around a 10-15 min walk from the Pier, Eastcliff is a quieter spot in Walton on the Naze with direct access onto the beach from the promenade. You’ll find Loopy Lou approximately mid-way between the north end of Cliff Parade and the last set of steps leading down from the road to the beach.
NOTE HER NUMBER IS 502 (NOT 507)
Maximum of 8 people, in and out of the hut, including babies and children.
With just three steps from the promenade, our beach hut is perfect for couples, individuals seeking time out, a group of friends or families with children.
Can I bring my dog?
While all of our beach huts are dog-friendly, Loopy Lou is on the border of a 0.5 mile stretch where restrictions are in place between 1st May and 30th September.
During that time, dogs are not allowed directly on a small stretch of beach to one side of her.
Where are the nearest facilities to Loopy Lou?
Turn left out of the hut and after 100 yards are toilet facilities including baby changing.
Turn left out of the hut and there is a tap approximately 30 yards away.
Where can I Park?
As you can see from the map above, there are a number of residential streets immediately behind the beach huts and there are a number of streets that lead onto the main road (Cliff Parade) above the promenade.
Parking is free in the area but will be very very busy during peak seasons. Do arrive early and if you do need to park on residential streets, be prepared to walk with your items to the beach huts.
The nearest car park (with charges) is next to the train station on Church Road – this is around a 15-20 min walk.
What time can I arrive and depart? Can I sleep overnight?
All of our beach huts are available for use between 9 am and 8 pm.
Unfortunately, you cannot sleep overnight in our beach huts but the late departure time will allow you to arrive for bacon rolls and leave the beach hut post some fish and chips!
A number of our guests brought PJs with them for the younger members of the family – a quick change pre-car journey and much easier once home!
What will I find in the Beach Hut? Do I need to bring anything?
In normal circumstances – we’d normally provide everything you need for a day at the beach. However, in these bananas times, we’ve had to restrict our contents to ensure the safety of our team who clean daily but also yourselves as guests.
Unfortunately, this has meant removing, beach toys, games, books and tea, coffee and sugar.
Please do feel free to bring yours along (gas stove, kettle and crockery all still in place) but if you feel uncomfortable using our crockery, then do pack your own.
Don’t forget the all-important – MILK, BIN BAGS (please take all rubbish home or deposit in bins on the promenade) and TEA TOWELS for washing up.
There are lots of shops on the way into Walton if you forget, there are lots of shops on the way into Walton, and you’ll find a Tesco express in the centre of Walton itself and a newly opened Marks and Spencers (perfect if you’d like to pre-order picnic platters). You’ll also find the seafront cafe’s and Pier open during peak times.
How do I pay?
Our payment is safe and secure, using PayPal or Stripe (credit card) Don’t worry if you don’t have a PayPal account to use – we accept credit and debit cards and when you checkout, you’ll be guided through the process. Payment will be taken in full at time of booking.
We will refund the full value of your booking less £10 if canceled less than two weeks pre your booking.
What else do I need to know?
The only things left is to read our T&Cs. I want you to have fun and for your day out to be the best it can – please do take 5 minutes to read through these. My biggest plea is to keep to the numbers of guests we have stipulated.
One of the many reasons questioned for the licence change of our prior huts on the private development was that there were too many ‘large’ parties and I know I found myself calling some parties direct who had several other guests with them or who happened to be in the area. We have incurred a significant amount of cost due to this – please help us avoid this with our new huts. Any parties found to be breaching those T&Cs will be asked to leave (sorry to be a stickler but we’ve been badly burnt by this one!!).
Please do look at our FAQs if it hasn’t been covered above.
What happens next?
You’ll receive a confirmation email post payment and a followup email containing all the information above so that you have this to hand.
Two weeks pre your booking (or sooner if booking within that period), you’ll receive another email from us with a code to access the beach hut (key safe has codes regularly changed for security and contains keys to the hut). We do not currently operate a meet and greet service to give you flexibility re your arrival time but you’ll find someone close by who may pop by to check that everything is how you expect.
