Description

BEACH HUT HIRE – ROSIE POSIE

.You’ll find this stunning Beach Hut for Hire on the front row of Southcliff Promenade, Walton on the Naze, Essex

Spring/Summer – £50 (May to September);  Autumn/Winter – £35 (October to April)

Where can I find the beach hut?

With the Pier on your left, walk past the private development of beach huts (coloured beach huts all in one style) towards Frinton.  The numbering of beach huts restarts at number 1 after the new development and you’ll find Rosie Posie in the first section of beach huts.   This is approximately a 1-minute walk.

Rosie Posie (no.13A), is located on the front row and is a candy pink (sweetpea) colour.  If you have gone past the candy striped disabled access toilets or May’s café – you have gone too far.

Suitable For?

Maximum of 8 people, in and out of the hut, including babies and children.

Our closest beach hut to the Pier Rosie Posie is perfect for couples, individuals seeking time out, or families with children.

Can I bring my dog?

As with all our of our huts, dogs are more than welcome, though, during peak seasons, prior agreement is required for more than one average size dog.  We do find we accommodate this subject to the overall party sizes – don’t be scared to ask before booking.

Walton’s beach directly in front of the beach hut is dog-friendly all year round. You have a good few miles of beach all year to explore and let them off lead.  As with all outdoor locations – do please remember to clean-up (and if you forget your ‘poo-bags’ you’ll find a few spares in the beach hut).

Where are the nearest facilities?

Located close the pier, Rosie Posie’s closest toilets are directly opposite the Pier.  Baby changing is also available in the same building.   These are open all year round (yep even Christmas Day!).

The closest tap can be found just a few steps away.   Turn right out of the beach hut and you’ll find a little path up towards the road behind the beach huts (iwhere the candy striped disabled access toilet is).   Note that the tap is on the second row.

You’ll find a second tap just to the right-hand side of Mays’ cafe which is on the front row (turn right out of the beach hut and approx 20 beach huts away).

Where can I Park?

You may find you are able to park on the residential streets in and around Woodberry Way and in the station car park. However, there is a large public car park near the station and pier (Church Road, CO14 8DE).

Please do be courteous and note the restrictions that may be in place if parking on a residential street.

What time can I arrive and depart? Can I sleep overnight?

Due to popular demand and it’s great success, we extended our operating hours in 2016 to 9 am to 8 pm.

Unfortunately, you cannot sleep overnight in our beach huts but the late departure time will allow you to arrive for bacon rolls and leave the beach hut post some fish and chips!   A number of our guests brought PJs with them for the younger members of the family – a quick change pre-car journey and much easier once home!

What will I find in the Beach Hut?   Do I need to bring anything?

One of the best things about our beach huts is that we make sure everything is here for you including that all-important bucket and spade.  We’ll email you a full ist of contents upon booking so that you have these to hand.

Three things we ask you to bring:   MILK, BIN BAGS (please take all rubbish home or deposit in bins on the promenade) and TEA TOWELS for washing up.

Don’t worry if you forget to pack milk (tea, coffee, sugar is provided).. there are lots of shops on the way into Walton, and you’ll find a Tesco express in the centre of Walton itself.   You’ll also find the seafront cafe’s and Pier open during peak times.

How do I pay?

Our payment is safe and secure, using PayPal.  But don’t worry if you don’t have a PayPal account to use – we accept credit and debit cards and when you checkout, you’ll be guided through the process.  Payment will be taken in full at time of booking.

We will refund the full value of your booking less £15 if cancelled more than two weeks pre your booking.  Unfortunately, we cannot refund any bookings that are cancelled less than two weeks ahead.

What else do I need to know?

The only things left is read our T&Cs.   I want you to have fun and for your day out to be the best it can – please do take 5 minutes to read through these.  My biggest plea is to keep to the numbers of guests we have stipulated.

One of the many reasons questioned for the licence change of our prior huts on the private development was that there were too many ‘large’ parties and I know I found myself calling some parties direct who had several other guests with them or who happened to be in the area.   We have incurred a significant amount of cost due to this – please help us avoid this with our new huts.    Any parties found to be breaching those T&Cs will be asked to leave (sorry to be a stickler but we’ve been badly burnt by this one!!).

Please do look at our FAQs if it hasn’t been covered above.

What happens next?

You’ll receive a confirmation email post payment and a followup email containing all the information above so that you have this to hand.

Two weeks pre your booking, you’ll receive another email from us with a code to access the beach hut (key safe has codes regularly changed for security and contains keys to the hut).   We do not currently operate a meet and greet service to give you flexibility re your arrival time but you’ll find someone close by who may pop by to check that everything is how you expect.

Rosie Posie is beautiful, very well equipped with all you could possibly need and in a great location on the front row and with the water point a few paces away & loos just a couple of minutes walk. We had a fab day, even though the weather wasn’t great, and will definitely be returning!

A lovely day at the beach in Rosie Posie on Monday 16 July celebrating mum’s 74th birthday with her friend. Facilities close by. Will definitely come back with the two lovely ladies (and on my own) to find refuge from the sun! Smashing day made better by Rosie Posie. Thank you x

  3. Stephanie Tilling (verified owner)

Thank you for a lovely day. Rosie Posie has everything you need and as previous reviewers have said facilities are near by. We had fantastic weather, sea was so warm too. Our daughter spent the day in the sea. Her grandparents loved it too. Well worth all the effort to get there. My daughter said to me ‘thank you for taking me to the beach Mummy, I loved it’. Our dog Beth enjoyed it too. She was catered for too. Enjoyed special treats too. Thank you.

  4. Lianne K

A wonderful family day spent at Rosie Posie, albeit a rather wet August day it didn’t stop us. Great location so whilst we spent most of the day comfortable in the hut keeping dry and warm, the pier was so close the children enjoyed playing on the rides and spending all their pennies. Those brave enough ventured in to the sea and the location of the hut was perfect to watch (from the warmth) the fun that was being had. Will definitely be returning and recommending. Thank you!

  5. Lucy (verified owner)

Very pretty beach hut in a good position, we had a wonderful day with family for my mum’s 70th birthday. Everyone loved it from age 7 to 70! We had a bit of rain and then the sunshine so used the inside and the deckchairs outside when the sun came out. We would definitely come back again and would recommend a day in Rosie Posie to anyone. Thank you for a lovely day.

  6. Janette Joshi (verified owner)

Rosie Posie is a beautifully decorated hut with everything you need for a lovely day at the beach (plenty of chairs, blankets, tableware and even bucket and spade!). Perfect front row location. Had a lovely time, and my girls age 10 and 7 can’t wait to return!! Thankyou! x

We enjoyed our day at Rosie poise so much
The beach hut was immaculate and tastefully decorated with lots of lovely touches. It was equipped with everything we needed. Despite the weather the kids and adults had such a great time – thank you 🙂

  8. Fiona Gilbert (verified owner)

A lovely well decorated and well situated Beach Hut. Really close to the pier, toilets and cafes. We had a lovely day at the beach and it was so nice to be able to retreat back to the hut for lunch & a cuppa. We’ll definitely be back. The kids aged 6 & 12 enjoyed the hut too and the buckets & spades were very handy. Thank you.

  9. Jan Phelps (verified owner)

We had a fabulous day at Rosie Posie, it was chosen as close to the disabled toilet for our father in law who sadly could not come in the end. So we will be rebooking.
My husband and I thought it was clean, well equipped, had all the facilities that was required for a relaxing day at the beach. We also loved the fact our family dog was welcomed. He loved his day too.

Thank you and a definite yes we will be back

We had a fabulous day in Rosie Posie, what a wonderful beach hut. Superbly decorated and very well equipped, you have thought of everything.
The hut is very conveniently located close to the toilets / pier / shops and of course the glorious beach. We spent most of the day relaxing, chatting and soaking up the sun. I didn’t want the day to end, even our cocker spaniel Otis had the time of his life on the beach and in the sea – he kept sneaking off to get back on the beach ha ha ha.

We will definitely be back, thank you from
