With coral front doors and sea green base, you’ll find this stunning Beach Hut for Hire on the front row on Southcliff Promenade, Walton on the Naze, Essex

Spring/Summer – £50(May to September);  Autumn/Winter – £35 (October to April)

Suitable For?

Maximum of 8 people, in and out of the hut, including babies and children.

Due the steps directly in front of the hut, Isla is perfect for couples, individuals seeking time out, or families with older children.  If you don’t mind keeping a closer eye on young children or situating yourself at the bottom of the steps (feel free to move chairs and furniture) then you have a great view down.

Great for those who like to be a bit further removed from the busy pier and busier sections of the beach. You can guarantee that you’ll have uninterrupted sand castle building!

The winter months can offer great ‘sea spray’ viewings with the sea often spraying onto the lower steps.  Why not huddle up behind Isla’s glass doors, pop the kettle and heater on and watch!

Beach Hut Hire Isla Essex

Where can I find Isla?

With the Pier on your left, walk towards Frinton and you’ll find Isla located half way between the pier and the Frinton-on-sea corner.  Isla (no.97A), is located on the front row.  With 6 steps directly down to the Promenade and then to the beach, whilst this limits the area immediately outside of her front doors, it provides a fantastic view directly onto the beach and stunning interior to relax within.

Can I bring my dog?

Well, Isla couldn’t be named after my mum’s Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel and not allow furry friends!!   As with all our of our huts, dogs are more than welcome though during peak seasons, a prior agreement is required for more than one average size dog.  We do find we accommodate this subject to the overall party sizes – don’t be scared to ask before booking.

The beach directly in front of Isla is dog-friendly all year round. You have a good few miles of beach all year to explore and let them off lead.  As with all outdoor locations – do please remember to clean-up (and if you forget your ‘poo-bags’ you’ll find a few spares in the beach hut.

Where are the nearest facilities to Isla?

A water tap is just one beach hut away – making it all that bit easier to fill up the kettle.   During the winter months, the taps are removed by Tendering Council to avoid burst taps (tend to be from early December to just before easter).  There are also toilets approx 50 m away (situated behind the next block of beach huts) though these are again closed during the winter months. If hiring during winter and over Christmas and New Year, the facilities at the Pier are open all year around.

If hiring during winter and over Christmas and New Year, the facilities at the Pier are open all year around (minimum of 8 am to 6 pm with later opening during summer months).  This is approx a 5 min walk from Isla.

Where can I Park?

You may find you are able to park on the residential streets nearby and in the station car park. However there is a large public carpark near the station and pier (Church Road, CO14 8DE).

Please do be courteous and note the restrictions that may be in place if parking on a residential street.

What time can I arrive and depart? Can I sleep overnight?

Due to popular demand and it’s great success, we’ll be operating our extended hours of 9am to 8pm.  Unfortunately you cannot sleep overnight in our beach huts but the late departure time, will allow you to arrive for bacon rolls and leave the beach hut post some fish and chips!   A number of our guests brought PJs with them for the younger members of the family – a quick change pre-car journey and much easier once home!

What will I find in Isla?   Do I need to bring anything?

One of the best things about our beach huts is that we make sure everything is here for you including that all-important bucket and spade.  You’ll find:

Don’t worry if you forget to pack milk (tea, coffee, sugar is provided).. there are lots of shops on the way into Walton, and you’ll find a Tesco express in the centre of Walton itself.   You’ll also find the seafront cafe’s and Pier open during peak times.

How do I pay?

Our payment is safe and secure, using PayPal.  Don’t worry if you don’t have a PayPal account to use – we accept credit and debit cards and when you checkout, you’ll be guided through the process.  Payment will be taken in full at time of booking.

We will refund the full value of your booking less £10 if cancelled less than one week pre your booking.

What else do I need to know?

The only things left is read our T&Cs.   I want you to have fun and for your day out to be the best it can – please do take 5 minutes to read through these.  My biggest plea is to keep to the numbers of guests we have stipulated.

One of the many reasons questioned for the licence change of our prior huts on the private development was that there were too many ‘large’ parties and I know I found myself calling some parties direct who had several other guests with them or who happened to be in the area.   We have incurred a significant amount of cost due to this – please help us avoid this with our new huts.    Any parties found to be breaching those T&Cs will be asked to leave (sorry to be a stickler but we’ve been badly burnt by this one!!).

Please do look at our FAQs if it hasn’t been covered above.

What happens next?

You’ll receive a confirmation email post payment and a followup email containing all the information above so that you have this to hand.

One week pre your booking, you’ll receive another email from us with a code to access the beach hut (key safe has codes regularly changed for security and contains keys to the hut).   We do not currently operate a meet and greet service to give you flexibility re your arrival time but you’ll find someone close by who may pop by to check that everything is how you expect.

    Hi Vicky,
Just to say we had the most fabulous day yesterday with family at the Beach Hut – it is beautiful thank you!
We will most definitely be back again, the kids had a ball! Makes me want to buy my own one 🙂
I spent my summer holidays as a child at Walton so it was so lovely finally revisiting with my children.

    Have a fab summer.

    Kind regards
    Laura Lansley xx

First time we’ve used Isla and we loved it! Have to say so far this is definitely my favourite. It comes with everything you could possibly need and perfect location to get to all the amenities. The glass doors are a great idea when it’s a chilly day and keeps the dog contained 🙂 Can’t wait to use her again
Thank you Vicky and Millie X

Thanks so much Gem! Love that you are making your way slowly round them all. Isla is by far my favourite in terms of those doors! They can be a pain sometimes with opening but worth it for the view 😉 Vicky x

I have previously visited Isla when my cousin booked it for a day last year.
So it was an obvious choice when organising a family get together.
We had a fantastic time chatting over a glass of pimms, whilst watching the tide come in.
There is everything you could ever need in the beach hut and a great location for both the beach and the pier.
My cousin has booked the hut for the end of August so hopefully will be back again soon.

This is the second year we have hired Isla for Monday to Friday, and it doesn’t disapooint in any way. There is everything you need to make your days comfortable, There is tea, coffee, sugar and water container and a camping stove ,so you can have that much needed cuppa, it is also near enough to the beach so you can watch the children (older ones obviously) from the hut. Our grandchildren loved their time there. I would like to thank Vicky as I made a mistake booking and she sorted it out for me staright away, which took the pressure off me. I didn’t want to have to tell the grandchildren I had book a different hut mid week.
Thank again Vicky fir another great week in your beach hut.

    Hi Vicky,

We were lucky enough to have our first visit to Isla on Wedsnesday, we were really looking forward to it and she didn’t disappoint!! Loved the location as really close to amenities – the fresh water tap one hut away came in handy when the tide came in my 3 year old still had plenty to do filling up buckets etc. Even my hard to please nephew said it was the best day – as we literally had to get them out of the sea to go home. Isla herself had a great selection of toys and books for the kids and lots of handcrafted arts and nic naks, she’s very special and delighted we got to share her for the day!! By the way if you have a few little doggies hanging around that’s because my little man gave out a few of your doggie treats to a few passing pups/dogs – one way to make friends I guess …. thanks again for making the huts so wonderful and sharing them lol xxx

Had a fantastic day at Isla on Saturday 2/9/17! We invited some friends to join our family and together the 8 of us enjoyed everything Isla had to offer. The sun was out and the 4 children loved the bag of sand toys, they played on the beach for most of the afternoon and we’re even brave enough to swim. The adults had numerous cups of tea and coffee whilst relaxing on the porch and enjoying the view! Fish and chips and ice cream were on the menu and the daybed was a comfy spot for the mums to chatter whilst the dad’s walked to collect the tea. This was our third visit to Millies beach huts and we will definitely return.

My partner and I visited Isla with our dogs last week. Having visited Harley earlier in the summer we were keen to see what Isla had to offer. We weren’t disappointed. It was quite a chilly day but the storm doors offered us protection whilst keeping the brilliant view of the sea. Isla is just beautiful, providing us with everything we needed to relax and be entertained! The beach in Walton is great for dogs too! A fab day all round!
